These new hermaphroditic ferrules, with up to 4 rows of 16 lenses, offer new cost-effective, high-density solutions that are impervious to dust and dirt contamination. Together with PRIZM® MT, Sylex is offering new MXC connector housings which take up less space in comparison to standard MPO connectors, and together with PRIZM® MT ferrules, offer a lower spring force, thus making them suitable for applications which demand the repeated mating of connectors. The combination of MXC housings with PRIZM® MT ferrules is suitable for front-panel and backplane applications which require high density.
